WASHINGTON (July 29, 2024) — The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ashley Terry, Vice President of Development for Wheeler District in Oklahoma City, to the ULI Americas Executive Committee (AEC). Terry joins a distinguished group of more than 60 real estate industry leaders who have been newly appointed or reappointed to ULI’s global governing bodies.
“Ashley Terry’s appointment to the ULI Americas Executive Committee is a testament to her dedication and leadership in the field of real estate development,” said Jill Lucken, ULI’s Executive Vice President, District Councils. “Her expertise and commitment to community-driven development will greatly contribute to advancing ULI’s mission.”
In her role at Wheeler District, Terry has been instrumental in transforming the district into a vibrant, mixed-use community, implementing the project’s innovative approach to urban development. Her leadership has not only driven economic growth but has also fostered a sense of community and sustainability within the district.
“It is an honor to be named to the ULI Americas Executive Committee,” said Terry. “I am excited to collaborate with fellow industry leaders and share best practices that benefit our communities. This opportunity allows me to bring insights from Oklahoma City to a national audience and to learn from the diverse perspectives within ULI.”
Fernando Costa (City of Fort Worth), fellow AEC Committee member, expressed his enthusiasm for working with the new appointees. “I’m eager to work with Ashley and other committee members to enhance member engagement and advance ULI’s mission across the Americas,” Costa said. “Their diverse experiences and insights will be invaluable as we continue to grow and create lasting impacts in our communities.”
The ULI AEC provides guidance on the strategic direction of ULI’s program throughout the Americas region, which serves nearly 40,000 members throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America and South America. The Global Board of Directors and three regional executive committees (Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe) play a crucial role in guiding the organization’s efforts to connect real estate professionals, share knowledge, and address land use challenges worldwide.
