Mentor Lunch: Tim Johnson
This program, now in its fourth year, is intended to connect the emerging young leaders of Oklahoma’s development community with more established ULI members as a means to educate and exchange ideas about Oklahoma’s past, current and future developments.
Tim Johnson’s story began at California State Polytechnic, where he built a working knowledge, as well as earned a Bachelor of Science, in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation, Mr. Johnson moved to Oklahoma to begin what would become a career of 42 years and counting in the Oklahoma civil engineering industry. He began his professional experience as an Associate Civil Engineer for the City of Oklahoma City, working on noteworthy projects such as the Myriad Gardens.
In 1988, Tim Johnson started his own firm, Johnson & Associates, Inc. (J&A), a firm focused on Civil Engineering, Surveying, and Urban Planning. Currently, J&A has approximately 50 employees, and is located in Bricktown’s Candy Factory. J&A hit a new milestone in 2018, and is proud to proclaim that the company now has served the greater Oklahoma City area for 30 years. Over the past 30 years, J&A has had the privilege to work on projects such as the Bricktown Canal, Project 180, Page Woodson, dozens of residential subdivisions throughout the metro area, and the corporate campuses of Chesapeake Energy, Dell, & Paycom.
