Join us for a tour of the Steelyard Apartments with developer Gary Brooks, President of Cornerstone Development.  Located in the entertainment hub of Bricktown stands Steelyard. 250 apartment homes, steps from the Bricktown Ballpark, Deep Deuce, and all the best of the city’s core.  The location can’t be beat with ease of highway access when you want to get around and 18,000 square feet of retail therapy when you want to stay close to home. The central space flanked by the Steelyard’s two buildings is known as “The Yard.” This prime real estate features ambient lighting and runs the full length of the property. It serves a dual purpose as retail parking and community event space.

Gary Brooks began his career in real estate in 1988 as a broker for CB Commercial specializing in office tenant representation.  In 1998 his focus shifted full time to apartment brokerage.   In 2008 Gary formed Cornerstone Development and developed Legend Park, his first apartment project in Lawton, Oklahoma.  Over the next ten years he and his team used various HUD financing programs to develop and purchase over 3,000 units.  His latest project openings include Argon at Chisholm Creek, Terra at University North Park, and Steelyard in Bricktown.  In January of 2017, Gary and a partner acquired The First National Center.  He serves on the executive committee of the Urban Land Institute and is board member of Downtown OKC, the United Way, and Bricktown Association.  Gary lives in Edmond with his wife of nearly 30 years, Michelle.
