Tulsa is growing rapidly with new opportunities for creativity and entrepreneurship. Public and private investments are transforming several areas in the city. A group from Tulsa’s Young Professionals (TYPros), a citywide organization known for their Better Block-style Street Cred event, will guide ULI members on a tour featuring Tulsa entrepreneurs, developers, and civic leaders.

 

Tulsa Exchange Itinerary:

9:00 am Downtown Tulsa Tours – Led by the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture, choose between 2 walking tours: Historic Tax Credits in downtown Tulsa and downtown Tulsa Modern Architecture

11:30 am Lunch Panel with the Tulsa Mayor’s Office – Tulsa elected GT Bynum as the Mayor of Tulsa in 2016 and his visionary leadership has inspired an aggressive and proactive local government approach to bettering Tulsa. We will enjoy a catered lunch while engaging with several members of the Mayor’s office including Deputy Mayor and Chief of Community Development and Policy.

1:30 pm Downtown Tulsa Development with the Ross Group – With a recent focus on urban development, the Ross Group has been a key figure in the continued development of downtown Tulsa.

2:00 pm The Boxyard – One of Tulsa’s most recent additions, the Boxyard is a unique retail development comprised of shipping containers. A product of The Ross Group, we will hear from the developer about the project, and then we will catch an early happy hour at the Open Container bar.

3:30 pm Mother Road Market – The Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation recently announced plans to convert a warehouse into a market that will house local food shops, pop-up restaurants, children’s activities, event space, and a demonstration kitchen. We will tour the current space and gain insight on the future project.

4:30 pm Fuel 66 – A new food truck and bar stop along the Historic Route 66 highway we will have a discussion regarding the momentum along the 11th Street corridor, as well as a presentation on the upcoming Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) lines coming to Tulsa.

5:30 pm  *Programming is over for the 2017 Exchange, but we encourage you to stay for the evening and join us at the annual Tulsa Oktoberfest, considered one of the top ten in the world!

Non Members – $15

Registration does not include:
• Transportation (see notes below)
• Breakfast, Dinner, or any drinks purchased
• Admission to Oktoberfest (optional – $10)
