In April 2022, ULI’s Urban Land Magazine covered the growing market for Build-To-Rent single-family rental communities in the wake of COVID-19 and the ongoing housing shortage. Sometimes referred to as “Horizontal Multifamily,” these communities offer detached homes for rent, with amenities and property management typical of apartment communities.
Trulo Homes Quail Village is a new Build-To-Rent single family rental development with 215 units on a 25-acre site near Quail Springs Mall. Units include 1-bedroom duplexes and 2- and 3-bedroom detached homes. Scott Moehlenbrock, Vice President Rose Rock Development Partners, will discuss opportunities, challenges, and lessons learned about site plan strategies, stormwater management, permitting, and property management for this new product type. Participants will tour a portion of the site and model units.
