ULI Oklahoma is teaming up with Pecha Kucha to present the 1st ever ULI Powered Pecha Kucha on Wednesday, August 7th. Throughout the evening, multiple speakers will give "rapid-fire" presentations covering a myriad of topics related to land use and development. We'll wrap the evening with a networking happy hour.
PECHA KUCHA SPEAKERS:
James Cooper — OKC Ward 2 City Councilman
Chad Reynolds — Poet / Founder, Penny Candy Books
Asa Highsmith — OKC Ward 6 Planning Commissioner
Carrie Blumert — Oklahoma County Commissioner, District 1
Ian Colgan — Assistant Executive Director, Oklahoma City Housing Authority
Gloria Torres — Executive Director, Calle Dos Cinco in Historic Capitol Hill
PechaKucha is a presentation format based on a simple concept: 20 images x 20 seconds. The PechaKucha model of holding concise presentations in bars, restaurants, living rooms, and accessible community spaces was launched in Tokyo by designers and architects 11 years ago. The goal for each PechaKucha is to provide an opportunity for local passionate, motivated and creative individuals to share their current projects and longtime interests and for event attendees to learn about how they can engage with ongoing initiatives, adopt new hobbies, or join dedicated community groups. Above all, Pecha Kucha aims for each forum to act as an all-inclusive and approachable forum for Oklahoma City residents and visitors.
