Twenty Projects Selected as Finalists of the Urban Land Institute’s 2023 Americas Awards for Excellence
Incredible honor goes to one Oklahoma project ...
Reeve Tarron, Senior Vice President of Lending for Legacy Bank, was recently named Chair of Urban Land Institute (ULI) Oklahoma. The Urban Land Institute is a global, multidisciplinary real estate organization whose work is driven by 45,000-plus members dedicated to shaping the future of the built environment for transformative impact.
ULI Oklahoma is a growing council within ULI’s global network. With over 400 members in Oklahoma, Tarron will serve on a voluntary basis for a two-year term that ends in 2025. Past District Council Chairs since ULI Oklahoma was founded in 2007 have included: Kirk Humphreys, Leslie Bachelor, Blair Humphreys, AJ Kirkpatrick, Todd Glass, Cameron Brewer, and Ashley Terry.
Now in his 17th year with Legacy Bank, Reeve manages numerous large commercial loan relationships, with a focus in real estate, specifically: historic rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and commercial construction.
“It is an honor and privilege to serve the members of ULI Oklahoma,” Tarron said. “Over the past 15 years I have witnessed the positive impact of ULI across our state. Whether through our current Emerging Developers Initiative, which works to educate and equip the next generation of real estate developers, or our annual Impact Awards, which reward excellence in the field of real estate development with a focus on placemaking, ULI Oklahoma is a convening, neutral voice that raises the conversation and works to instill best practices that lead to thriving cities for all residents.”
In addition to Tarron’s appointment as District Council Chair, ULI Oklahoma is also pleased to announce Josh Kunkel, Method Group, will lead the growing membership base and program of work in the Tulsa metro area. Together, Tarron and Kunkel will preside over volunteer leadership teams of ULI members who lead various initiatives and committees.
“I am thrilled and honored to be able to lead the work of ULI Oklahoma in Tulsa. What I am most excited about is building off the momentum we have within the organization and the metro as a whole. My goal is to create a welcoming place for people who care deeply about and are actively participating in the development of Tulsa into a world class walkable city. I recognize that the community we are building now is the community that will make Tulsa a great place to live for decades to come!”
